Work with all agencies to improve the services carers receive
We are there to:
To achieve this:
Provide up-to-date information for carers.
We publish a Carers Information Pack for our District.
We circulate a quarterly Newsletter.
We arrange carers events on a range of topics such as manual handling, stress management and first aid.
Support Carers by lending a listening ear.
We provide a telephone listening and information service on our office number.
We can see carers on a one-to-one basis.
We run Emotional Support for Carers and have a Mental Health Carers Support Group.
Help carers to meet together and support each other.
We work with a number of carers groups in our area.
We run special events for carers.
Give carers a voice in planning services.
We help statutory authorities to consult carers.
We assist with the annual carers conference.
The Service is a member of several planning forums.
